The Digital assistant cannot work on single characters, but a token is more similar to a vowel.

This reduced price makes it much more affordable for companies to build their own chatbots. However, what if a company requires its bot to respond to voice commands? That’s where Whisper comes in. At a cost of $0.006 per minute ($1 for 2 hours and 45 minutes), this model can transcribe speech into text.

Whisper can understand 99 languages and provide an English translation of the conversation, making it a potential threat to Siri and Google Assistant, which can only handle a few languages.

OpenAI’s APIs allow businesses to create new chatbots, and some companies have already taken advantage of them. Microsoft is not the only one; here are a few examples.

Snapchat has introduced My AI for Snapchat+ this week. This chatbot can offer recommendations, such as a recipe for dinner or a hiking trip, and even write you a haiku.
