Microsoft are taking the next step in Generative AI with its latest ‘agents’ – part of the second wave of Copilot innovations.
What are Copilot agents
Think of Copilot agents as smart, flexible, trustworthy, little AI-powered helpers, that are easy to train and manage. They are especially helpful in automating repetitive and time-consuming tasks. In addition, Microsoft claim that your data is 100% safe in their hands!
And this brand new business process functionality is now generally available as part of the Microsoft 365 suite.
Types of Copilot agents
- Pre-built AI agents, like the ‘Visual Creator Agent’, that can assist you in crafting marketing materials, images and other design elements. And soon, it will have a video creation functionality too.
- Build-your-own Copilot agents, that you can train, customize and share with your coworkers. This is currently available only in BizChat, but Microsoft are rolling it out to SharePoint too over the next weeks.
